This poster is about the way in which electronic health records was adopted in the department of Oncoanaesthesia and Palliative Care of All India Institute of medical Sciences, New Delhi. India is a very vast country and AIIMS, New Delhi is the premier medical institute of the country. Established in 1956 AIIMS serve as the apex referral institute in India providing tertiary care. Patient from far flung area come for the expert treatment here. AIIMS Oncology centre (IRCH) is one of the renowned centre with the best of the best faculty, infrastructure, imaging and interventional modalities. It has a turnaround of more than 32,00,000 patients in a year. Electronic health record has now become a necessity in the healthcare of all the countries. India is still lacking in implementation of Electronic health record at all levels, however it was implemented in the AIIMS, 10 years back. The primary objective of this poster is to evaluate luate the implementation of electronic health record in the department of Oncoanaesthesia and Palliative Medicine AIIMS, New Delhi in terms of patient care, research projects and helping the clinicians in imparting health care and follow up. This study to evaluate the implementation of electronic health records was carried out in the department of Pain and Palliative Medicine, IRCH, AIIMS, New Delhi. A in-house Software was developed by the staff of department of computer facility, AIIMS after taking the input from the anesthetist and other doctors who will be the end-user of this software..This software had various modules for recording the patient data.Depending on what is the modality of treatment and what is required the doctor can select the module from the home dashboard. On entering the dashboard the doctor is required to enter UHID which fetches the demographic profile of the patient.
