Dr. Bucher is a global health researcher, innovator, and technical expert with 15 years of expertise cultivating strategic partnerships and international collaborative coalitions by which to strengthen maternal-newborn health care systems in low/middle-income settings. She designs, develops, and deploys affordable mHealth solutions to support the implementation of evidence-based public health interventions and disseminate nursing and medical education and training. Dr. Bucher and Dr. Saptarshi Purkayastha are the core developers of a free, open-source suite of award-winning apps, purpose-built for newborn health care providers in LMICs, called mobile Helping Babies Survive powered by DHIS2 (mHBS/DHIS2).
